21-24 March 2016ODR (online dispute resolution) training for online mediation.
23.02.2016: Amicable settlement in a trade mark passing off case in Larnaca District Court. Both parties agreed and their professional relationships restored. I represented the defendant.
16 May 2015. Training in Cyprus Central Bank regarding Mediation for Bank loans.
October 2014. Received ADRg family mediation training.
1-4 July 2014. Participation to the First World Mediation Summit in Madrid and speech re: ‘’How small claims are dealt in Cyprus’’.
December 2013 Received in Thessaloniki the title from Thessaloniki Mediators Training Institute and the ADRg, of Accredited Mediator for civil and commercial matters.
Personal Information
Mr. Stelios Asproftas was born in Nicosia. He obtained his law degree from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki. He was admitted in Cyprus Bar Association in 1995.
Memberships: Nicosia Bar Association, Pancyprian Bar Association, Tribunal Committee of the Cyprus Handball Federation 2002-2005 , Tribunal Committee of the Cyprus Basket Federation 2003-2006, Cyprus Association for the European Law 2003 - today.
He is accredited Mediator concerning civil, corporate, family matters. He is trained in ODR (Online Dispute Resolution). He received his training form Thessaloniki Mediators Training Institute, ADGg Uk and ADR-ODR International. He is member of the EICR (EUROPEAN INSTITUTE FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION) and member of the CYPRUS MEDIATION ASSOCIATION. He formed STIKSIS MEDIATION SERVICES dealing with Mediation matters. He has designed for Nicosia Municipality, the first Mediation Gate, where citizens within the limits of Nicosia Municipality may apply and resolve their disputes. Nicosia Municipality is the first so far Municipality in Cyprus who engaged and uses mediation
He has attended various seminars concerning Company, Intellectual Property and Mediation Matters.
